Get rid of ANTS AND SPIDERS – forever!

We all like to enjoy camping and being in nature, but when ants and spiders appear in the areas where we stay, we have to do something.

WHAT SPIDERS DON’T LIKE

– Chestnuts and walnuts

Elderly women claim that spiders do not like the smell of chestnuts and will not enter an area around which chestnuts are arranged. If you are in wood, spread them around the tent and kitchen. Walnuts are also claimed to have the same effect – folk practice confirms this. So it’s not bad to try.

-Essential oil or vinegar spray

Eucalyptus, tea tree or peppermint oil will keep spiders out of the house. Put water and ten to fifteen drops of essential oil in a spray bottle and shake. Spray around your camp site. Vinegar has a similar effect. However, do not overdo it with the spray, because that smell, apart from spiders, could also disperse your friends.

-Citrus fruits

Spiders don’t like citrus smells, so lemon, orange, or say grapefruit will help. Place pieces of citrus in several areas of camp site and add new every few days, as the scent will fade over time.

-Cedar and tobacco

Tobacco easily repels spiders, so few will spill it around the camp site floor, especially in the age of increasingly expensive cigarettes. The smell of cedar wood will drive them away, so if you have the opportunity, bring a piece of that wood when your coming back from hike.

WHAT ANTS ARE RUNNING FROM

– Cinnamon.

The smell of cinnamon is not pleasant to insects, so they run away from it. For example, ants will be diverted if you sprinkle some cinnamon, or make a line of cinnamon on the floor where you have problems with ants entering the house. You can also put a cinnamon stick in a small bag to protect your clothes from moths.

– Natural spray

Mix water, a little liquid soap and a few drops of lavender or camphor essential oil, then add some ground bay leaves, mint or cloves. Shake well and apply the mixture to areas where ants gather.

– Lemon juice.

Squeeze a lemon, then apply the juice to the critical points. Ants cannot stand the smell of lemon, they run away from it.

– Cucumber peel.

It is a natural poison for ants: put cucumber peel where they congregate and will flee.

– Laurel

They don’t like the smell of laurel either. Place bay leaves in the corners where ants gather.

– Vinegar

You can use it in several ways: apply it directly to the surfaces where there are ants or make a mixture of vinegar and detergent and fill the holes through which they come out.

– Baking soda and powdered sugar

It is necessary to mix these two ingredients in equal proportions, and then put them in places where ants rule.

– Coffee

The smell of coffee will make them change their habitat. All you have to do is put ground coffee in the place where the ants come out.
